Brencis
Brencis is the vampire ruler of Vale Sangora. He earned support by ending the chaos of the plague years, but the true cost of his rule becomes visible from Greifberg Castle.
Short answer. He is the center of the vale's new regime and the greatest obstacle between Coen and his family. Official material says he rules alongside three vampire lords.

Brencis was born in the ancient Roman Empire and came from far away. After seizing power roughly two years before the story, he took the title of Knyaz and settled in Greifberg Castle above Svartrau.
