Brencis is the vampire ruler of Vale Sangora. He earned support by ending the chaos of the plague years, but the true cost of his rule becomes visible from Greifberg Castle.

Vale Sangora is the main setting: an isolated pocket of the Carpathians where old legends, monsters, and a vampire regime have all become real.

Coen has 30 in-game days to prevent his family from being executed, but this is not a real-time countdown. Only specific objectives, quests, and deliberate day-night switches advance world time.

These guides cover systems the developers have explained publicly. They do not pretend to offer an optimal route before in-game verification exists.
Browse every guide →Use four rules to understand the story clock: which actions cost time, which exploration does not, and when switching between day and night is worthwhile.
Swordmastery provides reliable close combat, Witchcraft adds daytime control and investigation, and Vampiric abilities transform night combat and movement.
The map is visible from the beginning, but activities must be identified through clues and visits. A region locks its difficulty when first entered, and the south is generally harder.
The launch version has 46 Steam achievements: 25 described as public and 21 hidden. Story choices mean one playthrough cannot unlock them all.
There is no simple black-and-white moral framing. Time limits what Coen can pursue, relationships can open new paths, and not every vampire must die for him to reach his goal.

Four answers first
These answers remain spoiler-free and mark the limits that still require launch-build verification.
No. Free exploration does not continuously consume time. Only specific actions, quest objectives, and deliberate day-night switches advance the story clock.
No. Coen uses swordplay and Witchcraft by day, then Vampiric abilities, claws, and vertical movement at night. Both forms share experience and skill points.
No. The developers state that story choices make some achievements mutually exclusive. This Wiki keeps the 21 hidden conditions concealed by default.
Not yet. The launch edition starts with officially verifiable characters, locations, systems, and visible achievements. Quests, items, coordinates, and values still need in-game evidence.
