Exploring Vale Sangora
Keep “map visible” separate from “content known.” A new region shows that activities exist without naming them. Gather local information before deciding whether an objective is worth its time cost.
01 / Before you begin
Check these assumptions first
- 01Consider your current level before entering a new region.
- 02Use map markers, local testimony, and environmental clues together.
02 / Decision steps
Work through the choice in this order
- 01
Consider the difficulty lock before first entry
Each region has a minimum and maximum difficulty. The range is set from your level the first time you enter and does not keep changing afterward.
- 02
Treat unknown activities as leads
A new region tells you that an activity exists without explaining its type. Ask locals, find clues, or approach it before you know what is happening there.
- 03
Match terrain to the right form
Villages, tombs, forests, swamps, caves, and mountains reward different day and night abilities. Mark elevated entrances and return at night when necessary.
- 04
Use Svartrau as the commercial hub
Villages have shops, but Svartrau is the only true city and has the strongest concentration of specialist merchants. Resupply and seek knowledge there before pushing farther south.
03 / Common pitfalls
Do not let a false assumption choose for you
Entering a difficult region before realizing its range will lock.
Reading an unknown map marker as a complete quest description.
Assuming exploration continuously consumes the 30-day clock.
Expecting a mount; official material says Coen has no horse.
